Soul loss is happening all around the world with every generation. This is a time where people are seeing traumatic events that are affecting their mind, body, and soul.

Soul loss is something that doesn’t last forever and if you can take care of your inner being, you can fix this and reintegrate things that are good into your life.

What is Soul Loss?

Soul loss is when part of your soul will shut down and it will cause you to not feel whole and to not be able to be the best that you can be. It is when you repress your feelings and your emotions.

Soul loss is when you go to different realities and when you see that your soul is not recovering from bad things. This is when you are no longer whole.

When people go through trauma, they often do not fix it, and this causes them to become withdrawn and to have soul loss.

What Causes Soul Loss?

Soul loss happens when people have trauma or when they let their ego take over. This can mean that they do addictive behavior, they forget what they believe, or they work too much and get into toxic relationships.

The ego is part of you, but you have to disconnect it from your soul and when you let the ego take over, this normally means that you are fearful, and you use the ego to survive.

If you want your soul to work the best it can, you have to take your ego out and make sure that you do not let it control you. Even though the ego helps with pain and helps you to feel loved sometimes, it is not who your soul is.

Soul loss has symptoms such as stress, depression, tiredness and even can leave you feeling empty like something in your life is missing. What is missing is that you are disconnecting from your soul and this is often why people get mental illnesses.

Psychology and Soul Loss

When you become disconnected from your soul, you see that you are not balanced, and it causes your psyche to change.  The inner part of yourself will come out and you will not be able to control the conscious mind. You will see that you will have behaviors because of this that are negative such as depression and rage.

When your consciousness is out of control, it leaves you feeling like you don’t know who you are and can make you fearful or feel guilty. It can leave you feeling numb and hopeless, and many people will try to have more relationships, family time but they will gossip and have addictive behaviors as well.

Dissociation

Soul loss is also called dissociation. This means that you are disconnected from something and this often happens when you are subjected to traumatic events in your life. This can leave you feeling like you are not able to function.

If you were abused as a child, you will probably detach from the situation so that you can protect yourself and this will cause you to have different personalities. This is a way that you can protect yourself from the trauma around you.

Dissociation is not always something so traumatic as multiple personalities and it can come in the form of things such as

  • Low self-esteem.
  • Post-traumatic stress.
  • Addictions
  • Eating disorders
  • Codependency
  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Narcissism

Soul loss can cause you to miss out on good things in your life because you become easily depressed. You can find a way to be whole again and once you are aware of what you are going through, you will see that you can bury these things and become whole again.

Signs of Soul Loss

There are different signs of someone that is experiencing soul loss. This is when your soul is hiding away and where your love and energy have left you. Some people become self-destructive, and they need to recover who they are and become balanced again.

Here are some normal symptoms of soul loss:

  • Blocking out past memories.
  • Bouts of depression.
  • You feel broken.
  • You feel numb.
  • You are full of stress and anxiety.
  • You have a hard time sleeping.
  • Feeling incomplete.
  • Feeling lost.
  • Feel different after something bad happens to you.
  • Feel that you cannot overcome certain issues.
  • You feel stuck.
  • You are disappointed.
  • You feel that you have different parts of yourself.
  • You use addictive behaviors such as alcohol or drugs.
  • You keep busy.
  • You feel unlovable.
  • You have a spiritual emergency.
  • You cannot find your purpose in life.
  • You keep too busy.
  • You feel vulnerable so you don’t get close to people.
  • You do not belong anywhere.
  • You don’t stay in control of yourself.
  • You are tired for no reason.
  • You want to be authentic.

Soul Loss and Spiritual Journey

When you experience soul loss, you will often go into your awakening. This is something that will trigger you to want something different. You will search for meaning in your life and you will find your journey to your awakening.

Reconnecting with the Soul

One way that you can find your soul is to do inner working. This means that you have to dig up the feelings that you buried and let them become part of you so that you can face it.

Here are some things you can do:

  • Art therapy.
  • Shadow work.
  • Inner child work.
  • Internal therapy.
  • Dream work.
  • Journaling
  • Meditation.
  • Chanting.
  • Singing.
  • Go into nature.
  • Visualization.
  • Yoga.
  • Reiki.
  • Being mindful.

Find some therapy that you are interested in and immerse yourself in it. If you feel overwhelmed by it, give yourself a break and then go back at it again. You will regain your life back.
